If you've read my website or blog for a while, you'll know that we have a daughter that is adopted from China. When we were trying to make our decision if this was the right thing for us to do, I was so scared and felt so alone in this decision, because we hadn't told anyone what we were thinking (no one knew, not even our kids). I had secretly been collecting informtion from different adoption agencies. One day when I was praying about what to do I came across a cd that was sent to me by one of the agencies. I didn't even realize I had it. So I watched it. It was Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Marybeth telling their story of how God had called them to adopt from China. I remember connecting with them so much through that video. Marybeth had been through every emotion that I was going through. It was as if she were telling my story word for word. After the video was over my decision was made. It was the confirmation I needed. I was balling as I called Bryan at work. When he answered the phone all I could get out was "I'm ready". And we both cried. People can have such an influence on you and touch your life so strongly and not even know it. That's why my heart is broken as I share this news. Please, please pray for the Chapman family.
