A few more from Anna's shoot

I had to post a couple more from Scott and Anna because these were my favorites and I didn't get to post them last night. One of my favorite places to shoot is back allies. I love all the textures and colors and the contrast of beautiful brides with grungy backdrops! If you notice the beautiful close-up picture of Anna with the red background in my last post....yea, that's a dumpster behind her ;) I loved the rich color of it, and she was a sport to do whatever I asked her to do. Scott even got into the game at the end of the shoot and took a couple of Anna. By the look of this last picture, I think he likes what he sees!

Anna's & Scott - Bridal Shoot

It was so much fun being able to do Scott and Anna's wedding because, Natasha (Allure) was the event coordinator, I got to shoot it, and Brianna got to help both of us.  I love it when we can all work together!  And we've made some awesome friends.  Our whole family loves Scott and Anna.  So, my girls have been asking me (over and over) "When are you going to get to Scott and Anna's pics?"  So, I'm sure they are happy that I'm finally posting them.  This is actually just from Anna's bridal shoot.  I have more to post from the wedding as soon as I get them finished.

Christy and Brent's Wedding

Christy and Brent are such a sweet couple and were so much fun to work with. Christy is just one of those people that makes you feel like you've known her forever. So, how terrible do I feel that I totally missed posting a "sneak peek" of their wedding! I finished them up right about the time I was having computer problems and was changing everything over to my new computer. So, even though they already have their proofs, I missed posting them on my blog! I'm so sorry guys! I know it's fun to be able to see your pictures on the site, so here ya go. By the way, the one of the both of you on the carousel, is definitely going on my website! It's one of my favorites of the year! Sorry I'm still not able to post any slideshows.

Ashley & Donnie's Wedding

I posted these pictures so late last night, I didn't get a chance to write anything.  I'm finally getting the hang of the new computer and software and things are starting to move forward again.  Yay!  I couldn't wait to post some of Ashley's and Donnie's pictures.  She has been super excited to see them.  It's fun for me when I get to go through the pictures and remember some of the events of the day.  As I was working on Ashley's pics I remembered something sweet she did for Donnie in the ceremony.  Before she came down the isle (they chose not to see each other beforehand) they played an audio tape of her talking to Donnie and telling him what he meant to her and how happy she was to be giving herself to him that day.  It was the sweetest thing.  Another one that got me choked up. ;)

Jessica's Bridal Shoot

I love, love, love doing bridal shoots. It's a time when I get to take the time and be creative with my brides. And, she's usually way more relaxed (no wedding day jitters) and is able to really have fun with it. Anyone who is getting married should really consider adding a bridal shoot to their package. You'll get lots of beautiful, fun pictures, and, you get to wear your dress again! You spend so much time and effort choosing the perfect dress, it's such a shame to only get to wear it once ;)
I don't even need words to describe these pictures.....she's stunning!

Josh & Jessica's Wedding

I've had a "love-hate" relationship with technology lately. I've had terrible problems with my computer and editing software which has had me pulling my hair out...hate. Then, my server started giving me problems and I haven't been able to post slideshows for about a month (it's still not working)...another hate. So I finally decided "enough is enough" and bought another computer....which I love. But..I bought a Mac instead of a pc, and now I'm trying to figure out how to use it and also change all my software. But I am still working. I don't want any of my clients who are waiting to see pictures wondering what happened to me. I'm actually starting to get a little relieved that that I'm starting to see some light. (Oh yea, and my cell phone broke yesterday and I'll be without one for about 3 days until they send me a new one.) What did we do before the computer age??

Anyway, I just finished Josh and Jessica's wedding! This wedding was sooo beautiful! Beautiful location, beautiful decor, and a beautiful couple. Even though this wedding season has been very stressful, I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet the people I have met, and to be a part of these beautiful weddings. I also had the privilege of doing a bridal shoot for Jessica. I think I mentioned before, that she does some modeling on the side, so she was so much fun to photograph. I've got a ton of pictures to post from that session, but I'll post them tomorrow.

Oh, they had the coolest thing happen to them. Check out the picture of the dragon fly. As we were riding in the carriage on the way to the reception tent, it landed on Josh's lapel, and just sat there for a long time. What made it so cool was, it was the exact same colors of their wedding!!! Blue (the same shade of blue) and brown!! Is that the weirdest thing??

Hope you guys like your pictures. I'll post more tomorrow. Sorry there's no slideshow ;(

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!! It seems like it's been forever since my last blog. Computer issues and the holiday season have slowed me down a little, but I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. After hours and hours (and hours) of tech support over the phone, I'm still having computer issues which have slowed down my editing and also won't allow me to post any slideshows (so sorry for those of you who are waiting to see your slideshows). So frustrating! But after this last episode with my pc (there have been one too many this year) I have decided it's time to go "Mac". My new computer should be here by Monday and, although I hear there's a slight learning curve, I should be back to full force in no time! Yay! Anyway, I hadn't even gotten a chance to get on here and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope you all had a wonderful, meaningful holiday with your family and friends. As I look back over this past year, I am just in awe at the things God has done in my life. When I think about it, it just overwhelms me. I have so, so much I want to share (lots new stuff coming up and of course, lots and lots of pictures). I'm also so excited to tell you about a contest that I'm going to be having. I'll reveal all the details in a couple weeks, but keep tuned in, I would love to have as many of you be a part of this as possible.
I have so much to write, but not enough time to write it all. So I'll just leave you with a few pictures. These are of the band "Right On". (They are a funky, 70's band and they are so much fun.) I had the privilege of photographing them at an event I did with Allure this past summer. Did anyone happen to see them on t.v. last night? They were one of the bands that helped ring in the New Year in Times Square!
