Amy & Josh - wedding

It's been a really crazy past 3 weeks since I made my last post. I heard Jamie's funeral was beautiful and one of the most meaningful days our family has experienced in a long time. I was shooting a wedding in Jamaica, so wasn't able to go, but I have a really touching story to share about what happened that day and some blessings that have come since then. But, I'll save those stories for another post.

I've been excited to finally have the chance to post some pictures of Amy & Josh's wedding. It was so beautiful! Amy spent so much time working to make sure every detail was perfect (and it was). I love the diversity of my last few weddings. This wedding took place at an old southern plantation (Gorden Lee Mansion). This mansion was actually used in the civil war! With it's big pillars and still-standing slave houses, It was like something right out of Gone With The Wind!! And Amy was just as glamorous as Scarlett O'Hare herself! It was also fun for me because I got the chance to work with Allure again. Great job Tash!

Jamie

Today was suppose to be a happy post. I'm getting ready to head to Ohio for an engagement shoot, to spend the 4th with my family, and then flying to Jamaica Mon. morning to shoot a wedding next week, and then off to the Outer Banks to shoot another wedding the following week. Sounds wonderful and exciting, but instead my heart is heavy. I am so sad to tell everyone that this morning our Jamie has lost her battle with cancer. She was only 17. She had a long, hard battle that robbed her of many things. But we can take comfort that she is now with our Lord Jesus Christ.

"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 1 Corinthians 15:15-55

Chris & Jennifer - Engagement Shoot

Every time I do an engagement shoot, it seems like I say "this is my favorite one". I just love doing them so much. But I have to say, this shoot had everything in it that gets me excited! A couple that both look like 40's movie stars (doesn't Chris look just like Ryan Goosling from "The Notebook"? It's one of my favorite movies, so I was super excited to do this shoot!) And not only did I have the perfect couple, but I found the perfect spot. As I was out looking for on old train one day, I came upon a photographer's gold mine (an old train, an abandoned warehouse with brightly painted rooms, graffiti walls, and grunge everywhere (sounds horrible, but for me, it was a treasure!) It was so secluded that as we were shooting, a deer came out to watch us. He watched for a while as we played around on the train. Then he invited a few more of his friends. It was so cool! They all just stood there watching us for the longest time. Then it got a little scary. Because right after the deer left, 2 coyotes came out and followed them. I could handle the deer, but the coyotes really freaked me out. I was just hoping a bear wouldn't follow. (I keep forgetting I'm not in Ohio any more!)

Jenna & Nathan- wedding

Jenna & Nathan were married a long time ago and have had their pictures and slideshow for a while, but I never got a chance to actually post it on my blog. It's always fun to be able to share it with your friends over the internet, and they kind of missed out on that. So....here ya go! Hope you guys have a wonderful time in the Bahamas!!!

Erlanger Residents Party!

Photobooths are fun for any event! This one was on the Southern Bell Riverboat in Chattanooga. The event was put on by Erlanger Hospital for some of the doctors and their familes. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of it!!
